Giovanni daily fishes targeting different species from Octopus to Cuttlefish, from Mullet to European Hake and Red Scorpionfish, among others.

He is a real specialist of the longlines and in 2018 he renovated his activity for improving his services, ensuring to the tourists a genuine experience

Where requested, the tour can be accompained by a marine biologists from the research Cooperative Serapia, guiding the hosts in discovering of the coastal and underwater world.

Giovanni speaks Italian, but the researchers from Serapia can handle the reservations in English, Spanish or French and can accompany you in the trip for a deeper experience.

THE ADRIATIC COAST

During the routes you can admire the wonders of the central area of the Adriatic coast, carachterized by long beaches with dunes and back-dune wetlands, interspersed with a rocky coast.

There are two protected areas

the Regional Nature Park "Dune Costiere da Torre Canne a Torre San Leonardo”, in the area of the municipalities of Ostuni and Fasano; (http://www.parcodunecostiere.org/newsite/eng/index.php)

the Protected Nature Reserve of Torre Guaceto, characterized by sandy dunes and beaches with its marine reserve. The exceptional backdrops, both rocky and sandy, preserve different animals and plants of particular beauty. Venturing towards the inner cities of the coast you can also admire the cities emblem of the Apulia as Alberobello an UNESCO site, Ostuni the white city, discovering and loosing you self into the backstreets full of colour of Polignano a Mare, and others to enjoy and live the real atmosphere of the Apulia.

Itinerary #1: Boat trip, nets hauling and tasting on board

[9:30 a.m.] Departure from the harbour

  • Sail with us to the area where the fishing nets have been set;
  • Admire the Adriatic coast from the sea;
  • Assist the fishermen in hauling the nets and find out with him the species caught;
  • Learn about the biology, stories and traditional receipts of the marine species;
  • Have a bath in a transparent sea with a guided snorkeling, while we prepare a traditional meal with the local catches;

[12:00 a.m.] Enjoy the lunch onboard with local specialities

[3:00 p.m.] Return to the harbour

Note: Available also from the 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with dinner on board.
